It's been four long years since we've started working on the enterprise application. It started in January 2002 and it was initially designed to be built with ASP.NET; it soon became clear however that ASPX simply can't cope with a interface and functionality of this complexity, so in October 2002 it was decided to build the server-side with .NET web services and the client-side in Flash. We really had to push Flash to its limits, but now, finally, the system is live:

Four Romanian companies have contributed to the success of this project made for WPA: Media Division, WebSolutions, ITPerspectives and Expertwerk.

Finally, the Romanian version of our site has launched at www.MediaDivision.ro! In the last two years the local market has matured significatly and this encourages us to deliver our services to Romanian companies too. The Romanian version uses the same dual engine (Flash&ASP) and shares the resources with the English version.

Last year we were contacted by Euroconf, a local company in the fashion/apparel industry to produce a DVD video presentation for them. Impressed by the resulting quality and by the rates, they have commissioned us to recreate their company identity, from logo to website, including photo sessions and printed promotional materials. They got a modern, dynamic look, integrated across all media (WWW, Video, print) at a fraction of the price they were anticipated. Great quality doesn't have to be expensive.

The site has received a well-deserved update. The Flash version takes advantage on the Flash7 features, including smaller file size, better printing (see the icon on bottom right corner), native mouse wheel support and mini-CSS support. At the same time, the HTML site is fully XHTML/CSS compliant, being generated from the same XML data used by Flash. Whereas previously the HTML was generated by a PHP script, now this is done with XSLT transformation.
